Government should open serious dialogue to end secondary education crisis (Tunisian League for Tolerance)

The government should open a serious dialogue to put an end to the secondary education crisis and save the current school year, notably following the initiative launched on Sunday by the General Secondary Education Federation, the Tunisian League for Tolerance (TLT) pointed out Monday in a press release.

The crisis must be solved in the coming days in order to preserve the Tunisian people’s unity, protect the public education sector and respect the sacrifices of the Tunisian families, said the league.

Spokesman for the government Iyed Dahmani had estimated that this initiative is considered as going back to square one.

Launched on Sunday, the initiative stressed the federation’s readiness to resume classes (suspended since April 17) as soon as serious, responsible and unconditional negotiations start with the concerned ministries (education and sports).
