Accra: The First Capital Music from Jamaica and the USA, in collaboration with Xtreme Reggae Dancehall Promotions Hub in Ghana, has launched the Gucci Riddim Africa Project. This cross-continental reggae-dancehall initiative brings together artists from Jamaica, Ghana, and Chile for a unique musical collaboration. According to Ghana News Agency, the project showcases talents such as Gucci Boss, Lutan Fyah, Booba Starr, Savannah Painter, and Rvshwill from Jamaica. From Ghana, artists include Osagyefo, Iwan Suhyini, Ganyo Dread, Dedeba, Gazella Jahvine, and Otopet Tumtum. Representing Chile is Akori Revel, among other performers. The Gucci Riddim Africa Project has undergone several phases, starting with the Gucci Riddim Africa Prelude. This was followed by the Gucci Riddim Radio Mixes, which were broadcasted on YFM Accra and Rainbow Radio. The current third phase, Gucci Riddim Africa International Mixes, is curated by Ghana's DJ Champagne, highlighting the unity and influence of global dancehall music. Loo king ahead, DJ Champagne will lead the forthcoming fourth phase, Gucci Riddim Africa Mixes. The project, in honor of the late 'Mampi' hitmaker Vybrant Faya of Shatta Movement Family, is now accessible on platforms like Audiomack and SoundCloud.
