Tunisia’s national handball team finished on the top of their group at the end of the first round of the African Men’s Handball Championship after defeating Congo’s 36-23 (first half: 19-08) at a group phase day-5 game played on Monday in Libreville.

Vice-Champions, Tunisia, finished the preliminary round with three wins and a draw topping their group with 7 points, while Congo booked the last qualifying ticket for the quarter-finals, ranking fourth with 2 points.

The quarter-final games are scheduled Wednesday.
