Head of MINUSCA visits Tunisian military mission deployed in CAR

Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) Mankeur Ndiaye, on Wednesday, visited the headquarters of the Tunisian air force quick reaction, air escort, search and rescue unit deployed in the Central African Republic (CAR) since September 25 , under support for the operational capabilities of the UN mission.

Ndiaye took note of the promptness of the unit which is composed of 120 members, including staff and specialised technicians, in addition to a group of special forces of 25 other members, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement Thursday.
