Head of State receives African ministers and state secretaries in charge of higher education and vocational training

President Beji Caid Essebsi received, Wednesday at Carthage Palace, African ministers and state secretaries in charge of higher education and vocational training who are taking part in the Tunisian African Empowerment Forum held August 22 and 23 in Tunisia.

These African government officials represent Mali, Niger, Chad, Burkina Faso, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea and DR Congo.

The Head of the State commended the organisation of such important events in Tunisia and expressed appreciation and encouragement to all initiatives aiming to strengthen co-operation between Tunisia and African countries in all fields.

He further called to multiply these events so as to further root Tunisia in its African dimension and enhance its presence in this vital and promising space, a Presidency press release reads.

This forum, the first of its kind, is held by the Tunisia-Africa Business Council, in partnership with Tunisian ministries of Higher education and employment and vocational training, in addition to private Tunisian universities.

It aims to promote Tunisia as a privileged destination for African students and trainees in the higher education and vocational training field.
