Head of State Summons EU Ambassador Over Breach of Diplomatic Protocols

Carthage: President Kais Saied, Tuesday, summoned EU Ambassador to Tunisia, Giuseppe Perrone, to Carthage Palace, over his failure to respect diplomatic protocols and for acting outside the official framework recognized by diplomatic practice in his capacity as the EU's plenipotentiary ambassador to the Tunisian state and its institutions, reads a statement of the Presidency of the Republic.

According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse, the summoning of Ambassador Perrone highlights President Saied's concerns regarding adherence to diplomatic norms and practices.
