Headmaster of Gbekor Senior High School Urges Authorities to Provide Potable Water

Adaklu abuadi: The headmaster of Gbekor Senior High School has made a public appeal for the provision of potable water, following the institution's recent upgrade to boarding status. The school, located in the Adaklu district, is currently reliant on a borehole that provides salty water, prompting the need for a desalination machine and long-term access to pipe-borne water. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Alex Kwasi Akotey, the headmaster, emphasized the necessity of these improvements to accommodate the school's growing population and ensure adequate living conditions for students. Mr. Akotey also highlighted the school's "state-of-the-art facilities" and expressed readiness to admit more students into its boarding program, contingent upon the resolution of the water issue. In addition to water infrastructure, Mr. Akotey appealed for a bus to facilitate transportation for students and requested a means of transport for the headmaster. He encouraged parents to consider enrolling their children in the sc hool, citing its excellent facilities and convenient location near Ho. The school offers a variety of academic programs, including general science, business, general arts, visual and performing arts, home economics, agriculture science, and languages. Mr. Akotey expressed gratitude to Mr. Kwame Agbodza, Member of Parliament for Adaklu, for his contributions, including the provision of a modern kitchen for the school.
