Highest turnout rate recorded in Zaghouan (22% till noon)

The governorate of Zaghouan recorded the highest turnout rate on Sunday’s municipal elections, i.e. 22%, against an overall turnout rate of 13.6%, President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Mohamed Tlili Mansri announced at a press conference held at the Tunis Convention Centre.

The lowest turnout rate was recorded in Tataouine with 8%. In the 86 newly created municipalities, the turnout rate reached 16%, 19% in Monastir, 16% in Beja, 17% in Siliana, 15% in Jendouba and between 13 and 17% in other governorates.
