According to ghana news agency:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and close as early as 3:00 p.m., which he deemed unacceptable for effective public service delivery.

Mr. Adom emphasized his commitment to addressing the issue by stating that he is always the first to arrive at the office, yet many of his subordinates report long after 9 a.m. He warned that this attitude must stop immediately as he will not hesitate to take disciplinary action. He urged Assembly Members to advise their relatives and acquaintances working at the Assembly to change their attitude towards work before sanctions are enforced.

The MCE highlighted that lateness and absenteeism undermined productivity and tarnished the image of the Assembly, which was tasked with delivering efficient services to residents. He disclosed that new measures were being implemented to monitor attendance and punctuality, adding that departmental heads would be held accountable for the conduct of their subordinates. Disciplinary actions could range from queries and transfers to outright dismissals, depending on the frequency and gravity of the offence.

Some Assembly Members commended the MCE for his decisive leadership and called for fair and transparent enforcement of attendance rules. Others appealed for improved staff motivation and logistics to complement the disciplinary measures, noting that effective service delivery required both commitment and adequate support from leadership. The Assembly also reviewed ongoing development projects, proposed new ones, and discussed strategies to improve internally generated funds (IGF) and overall service delivery in the municipality.
