Ho West District Assembly Initiates Construction of New Classroom Block at Tsito

Accra: The Ho West District Assembly has initiated a significant educational infrastructure project by handing over a six-unit classroom block construction to FRADOFIL Construction Limited at the Tsito Methodist Basic School. This initiative aims to enhance educational facilities within the district.

According to Ghana News Agency, the project, valued at GHS1.7 million, is expected to be completed within six months. The new block will include six classrooms and auxiliary facilities, designed to reduce overcrowding and improve the quality of teaching and learning.

During the handing-over ceremony, Mr. Francis Profer Dusey, the District Chief Executive for Ho West, emphasized that the project is part of the government's broader strategy to expand access to quality education. He assured all stakeholders that the contractor would receive the necessary support to ensure timely completion. "Education is the foundation of development, and this project demonstrates our commitment to providing children with the best learning environment," Mr. Dusey stated. He also mentioned that the Assembly would oversee the project's progress closely to ensure it meets all specifications and deadlines.

Representatives of the Member of Parliament for Ho West, Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, praised the Assembly's focus on education and promised ongoing support for initiatives aimed at raising educational standards in the district.

Community leaders and local clergy hailed the project as a timely and necessary intervention, expressing hope for additional educational facilities to meet other urgent needs.

The contractor is expected to begin work immediately, with the goal of completing the project before the academic year concludes.
