HPR adopts Euros 457.2 million loan agreement between Tunisia and IBRD

The House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR) adopted, Monday during a plenary session, Draft Law N59/2017 on the approval of a Euros 457.2 million (1,249 million Tunisian dinars) credit agreement concluded between Tunisia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in its entirety.

The credit, the agreement of which was concluded on June 13, 2017 in Washington, is destined to fund the State’s budget and support the reforms agenda in terms of improving the investment climate, strengthening entrepreneurship and opportunities to access funds so as to boost the economic activity.

The credit will be unblocked in a single installment and repaid over 28 years including a grace period of five years and five months.
