HPR convenes special session for French President

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) is convening Thursday a special session for French President Emmanuel Macron. The latter Wednesday began a two-day state visit to Tunisia, at the invitation of President Beji CaA�d Essebsi.

The French President will address the parliament; bilateral cooperation and prospects for its development will take centre stage. He is also expected to have a talk with Speaker Mohamed Ennaceur.

Emmanuel Macron will then head for Bardo museum where he will pay tribute to the victims of Bardo attack; he will be accompanied by Minister of Cultural Affairs Mohamed Zine El Abidine, Director of the Museum Fatma NaA�t Yghil and President of the Association for the Defence and Memory of Bardo Museum Attack Victims Serge Mayet. Macron will also meet with representatives of civil society.

The French President will attend by midday, along with Premier Youssef Chahed, the Tunisian-French Economic Forum, a business meeting held by the Tunisian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (French: CTFCI) and the National Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors (French: CNCCEF).

Emmanuel Macron landed Wednesday in Tunis on his first visit as President; he is leading an official delegation of ministers, MPs, members of academia, businessmen and media people.
