HPR examines draft organic law allowing Spain to permanently host UNWTO headquarters

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) examined on Wednesday the draft organic law amending Article 14 conferring to Spain the status of permanent host of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) headquarters, adopted so far by 99 countries.

The proposed amendment will be in force after adoption by 104 countries. The adoption of this draft law will have no legal and financial implications for Tunisia.

Tunisia has been member of the WTO since 1976 and has been a member of its Executive Board for the 2013/2017 period. The Tunisian government is keen on consolidating its co-operation with this organisation to make the most of its expertise and enhance the attractiveness of the Tunisian destination.
