HPR passes supplementary finance law 2016 in its entirety

The House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR) passed, Tuesday, the 2016 supplementary finance law in its entirety with 101 votes for, 19 against and 1 abstention.

The HPR also adopted an additional article proposed by the Finance Ministry to postpone the entry into force of the Investment Law till April 1, 2017, instead of January 1.

This article also provides for replacing the date of January 1, 2017 by April 1, 2017 in article 26 of law n71, dating back to September 30, 2016, related to the Investment Law of April 1st, 2017.

The HPR also accepted the introduction of a new article proposed by the Finance Ministry setting the taxation on medicines for January 1, 2017.

The article stipulates the annulment of the provisions of article 92 of law n53 of 2015, related to the 2016 Finance law.
