The Bureau of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) has decided to hold a plenary session on March 24 to consider a possible extension of the mandate of the Truth and Dignity Commission (French: IVD).

In a statement to TAP, assessor in charge of communication Mohamed Ben Souf said during this plenary, the president of the IVD will have to justify with arguments, the Commission’s decision to extend its activities.

MPs will then vote for or against the decision of the IVD which must obtain an absolute majority of votes (109).
