The Human Rights Council on Friday adopted the Universal Periodic Review outcome of Tunisia.
The Council examined the reports of 14 countries, including Tunisia, given that the Council holds three annual sessions during which the reports of 42 countries are examined, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad said in a press release.
In its interaction with the Council members, Tunisia affirmed its determination to carry on with substantial reforms in the field of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and foster democratic participation, especially in light of the guarantees provided by the Constitution of July 25, 2022, the same source specified.
Tunisia presented its report on November 8, 2022 during a plenary session chaired on the Tunisian side, by Prime Minister Najla Bouden Romdhane.
