International Labour Organisation (ILO) Director General Guy Ryder on Wednesday pointed out that the organisation will continue its support to Tunisia and its advocacy in favour of its social and economic reform programme.
In a statement following his meeting in Geneva (Switzerland) with Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, Ryder underlined that the two sides had discussed solutions to reduce the repercussions of the COVID-19 crisis in Tunisia, notably at the economic and social levels.
Mechichi stated for his part, that the meeting had offered an opportunity to consider ways to further boost the close cooperation between Tunisia and the ILO, which plays an important role in promoting social dialogue in Tunisia and in supporting all the economic and social programmes aimed at developing the country.
The two officials also laid emphasis on the need to establish more justice between all countries a regards speeding up access to the Coronavirus vaccines.
