Imed Hammami receives WB delegation

Minister of Training and Employment Imed Hammami received, on Wednesday evening, a high-level delegation from the World Bank.

The meeting was mainly devoted to the project of economic integration of the vulnerable categories in Tunisia “Moubadiroun”, which will be carried out over the 2018-2023 period in the governorates of Kairouan, Kasserine, Jendouba, Manouba and Sfax.

The Minister underlined the importance of organising working sessions with senior officials from his department, the World Bank and the Tunisian Agency for Employment and Self-Employment, with a view to developing a clear and prospective plan of action, leading to concrete results.

The “Moubadiroun” programme is supervised by the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment in collaboration with the World Bank and the Ministries of Social Affairs, Industry, Energy, Women, Family and Children as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

It aimed to develop economic opportunities for vulnerable groups through a sectoral approach and to empower young people in the concerned regions by helping them to launch their own projects or find decent jobs

Representatives of the World Bank reaffirmed their support for this project and for all bilateral cooperation programmes to promote vocational training and employment, especially in regions with high unemployment.
