Interior Minister resigns [Upd 1]

Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine said on Friday evening he had submitted his resignation to the President of the Republic, who accepted it.
«I would like to thank the President of the Republic and extend to him my feelings of respect and consideration for the trust he has placed in me and for the understanding he has shown of my situation by accepting my resignation,» he pointed out.
«A sense of responsibility led me to the Ministry of the Interior (…) and a father’s duty today calls me to a new mission.»
Taoufik Charfeddine thanked all the men and women of the Ministry of the Interior, praising their patriotism, loyalty, sincerity, devotion and professionalism.
He expressed his pride in belonging to this institution.
The Minister was speaking to the press on Friday evening, on the graduation ceremony of the 73rd class of the National Guard School in Bir Bouregba.
