Ankara: The Netanyahu government’s plan to place the entire Gaza Strip under Israeli military control is unacceptable, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan expressed these views during a phone conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof. The discussion covered Trkiye-Netherlands relations as well as pressing regional and global issues, as noted in a post by the Communications Directorate on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

Erdogan highlighted the strengthening partnership between Trkiye and the Netherlands, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation, especially in the defense industry. The Turkish President reiterated his nation’s commitment to fostering a just and lasting peace to resolve the Ukraine-Russia conflict. He assured that Trkiye, as the host of the Istanbul Process, would persist in its peace-building endeavors.
