TEMA: The International School Sport Association of Ghana (ISSAG) successfully concluded its 2024 Schools Badminton Championship, drawing participation from over 70 students representing 18 teams from nine international schools. The event, held at SOS Hermann Gmeiner College in Tema, aimed to inspire upcoming badminton talent and support students in gaining an edge for scholarships and other opportunities. According to Ghana News Agency, Ghana International School (GIS) triumphed in the Boys Badminton team event, while the Roman Ridge School secured victory in the Girls Badminton Team Event. The competition highlighted the students' determination and drive, showcasing their ability to seek and embrace challenges. Jessica Lomotey, Events and Competitions Officer of Ghana Badminton, expressed optimism for the future, noting the anticipation for Ghana Badminton's hosting of the 2025 African Schools Championships and the African U15 Championship. Lomotey emphasized the significance of the event in building a le gacy for athletes representing their schools. In the Boys Team Event, Ghana International School clinched first place, followed by SOS Hermann College and International Community School College as the first and second runners-up, respectively. In the Girls Team Event, Roman Ridge School led the standings, with Ghana International School and Tema International School taking second and third places.
