President of the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), Bouchra Hajij, hailed the successful organisation of the 3rd African Beach Games, which are held in the Tunisian resort of Yasmine Hammamet from June 23 to 30. In a statement to TAP, Hajij said that the success of the JAP 2023 had exceeded all expectations and that the current edition in Hammamet would be better than the one in Cape Verde in 2019. The President of the CAVB, who is also President of the FIVB, expressed her satisfaction at the level of competitiveness that marked the beach volleyball tournament, saying that the matches were of a high technical standard in both the women’s and men’s categories. She also expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome given to all the participating delegations representing 54 African countries, as well as to the fans and athletes who made the event a real celebration. Hajij also said the JAP 2023 will undoubtedly strengthen the links and relations between the countries of the continent. It should be noted that the gold medallists (men and women) of the Hammamet JAP will represent Africa at the World Beach Games in Bali next August.
