Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi, visited, Tuesday, the headquarters of the residence of the Japanese ambassador to Tunisia where he presented his condolences following the death of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The Minister signed the register of condolences opened at the headquarters of the Ambassador’s residence, expressing on this occasion on his behalf and on behalf of the Tunisian government, his sincere and heartfelt condolences to Shinsuke Shimizu, Ambassador of Japan in Tunisia, and through him to the family of the deceased, the Japanese government and the friendly Japanese people.
The Minister also expressed Tunisia’s solidarity with Japan and its strong condemnation of the cowardly assassination, listing in this regard the virtues and eminent qualities of Shinzo Abe, as a renowned political figure and recalling his contributions to the development of relations of friendship and cooperation with Tunisia and his pioneering role in promoting the position of Japan as a distinguished partner of our country on the road to development.
