Jerandi receives true copy of credentials of India’s new ambassador to Tunisia [Upd 1]

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi on Thursday received true copy of the credentials of India’s new ambassador to Tunisia Ngulkham Jathom Gangte.

The minister underscored the strong relations binding the two countries and the growth of bilateral cooperation, pointing out Tunisia’s willingness to further develop them in all promising sectors in India, such as ICT, the chemical fertilizer industry and medicines.

Jerandi also underlined the need to finalise the preparation of the next events, notably the activation of the working groups and the holding of the 13th session of the Tunisian-Indian Joint Commission scheduled for the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022 in Tunis.

Jerandi also stressed the need to reinforce solidarity and mutual support between friendly countries to cope with shared challenges in a context of pandemic.

The Indian ambassador commended for his part, the efforts exerted in a short time by Tunisia in the COVID-19 jab operation, according to a Foreign Ministry press release.

He voiced satisfaction at the close relations between both countries and commitment to endeavour to further boost bilateral relations and continue to support Tunisia’s efforts to take up the various challenges imposed by the current situation.
