Jerandi to make two-day working visit to Japan starting June 2

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi is making a two-day working visit to Japan from June 2.

The visit is an opportunity to review the bilateral relations and ways to develop them, including the sectors of scientific research and technology and renewable energy, said a statement.

It will also be an opportunity to strengthen trade relations and investment between the two countries and accordingly encourage both countries’ businessmen to explore new avenues for cooperation.

In anticipation of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8), scheduled for August 27 and 28, 2022, in Tunisia, the two sides will review the final preparations to provide the best conditions for the success of this major event.

The Minister will hand over an invitation from President Kais Saied to the Japanese Prime Minister to visit Tunisia for the Summit.

The visit will also make it possible to exchange views on international and regional issues, to enrich the tradition of consultation and coordination between the two countries at bilateral and multilateral levels, according to the statement.
