Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui received, on Friday, an invitation from his Emirati counterpart Abdallah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attend the annual “Sir Bani Yas” Forum, which will be held next November in Abu Dhabi.

The invitation was delivered by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ambassador in Tunis, Salem Aissa Qatami Zaabi, at a meeting at the Foreign Affairs Department.

According to a statement of the ministry, the meeting examined developments in bilateral cooperation and looked at the promising prospects for partnership, particularly in the areas of investment, tourism and transport.

On this occasion, the Emirati diplomat stressed his country’s will to strengthen Tunisian-Emirati relations especially in priority sectors.

The first session of the annual Sir Bani Yas Forum was held in November 2010 in the presence of 20 Foreign Ministers.

The meeting provides the occasion to discuss issues related to peace and security in the Middle East.
