Jhinaoui meets Pakistan’s ambassador in Tunis

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui had a meeting on Wednesday with Pakistan’s ambassador in Tunis, Zaheer Pervaiz Khan.

The two sides discussed the relations of co-operation and friendship between Tunisia and Pakistan as well as the upcoming bilateral meetings, including the 9th session of the joint commission, at the level of both countries’ foreign ministers, scheduled for the first quarter of 2018 in Tunis, said a statement from the Foreign Affairs Department.

Jhinaoui highlighted Tunisia’s commitment to develop the different aspects of co-operation with Pakistan in the light of the opportunities offered in the two countries.

He stressed the major role of the joint commission in boosting bilateral relations.

For his part, the Pakistani diplomat expressed his country’s willingness to expand the bilateral and multilateral co-operation with Tunisia and to develop its mechanisms.

He also placed emphasis on the broad prospects of partnership in all fields.
