Jhinaoui on official visit in Beijing July 18-20

Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui will pay an official visit to Beijing, China, July 18-20, at the invitation of Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

The visit will offer the opportunity to take stock of Tunisia-China bilateral co-operation in the various fields and examine ways of strengthening and diversifying it and to consult on regional and international issues of mutual interest, according to a Foreign Ministry press release.

During his visit to China, Jhinaoui will hold talks with Chinese counterpart and several senior officials, the same source added.

The Tunisian-Chinese economic co-operation has undergone a noteworthy development as testified to by the launch of development projects based on Tunisia’s priorities, such as the Sfax University Hospital and the El Menzah VI Cultural and Sports Centre.

Bilateral relations are characterised by the exchange of official visits between the two countries’ officials, the most recent of which is of Wang Yi on July 13-14, 2016, and of Deputy Foreign Minister Zhang Ming January 4-6, 2017.
