Jhinaoui receives Chinese ambassador in Tunis taking leave at the end of her mission

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui met Monday in Tunis with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Tunis, Mrs. Bian Yanhua, who came to take leave at the end of her mission to Tunisia.

Jhinaoui commended the “excellent Tunisian-Chinese cooperation relations, especially in recent years,” said the Foreign Affairs in a statement.

The level of cooperation, added the minister, is reflected in the number of projects achieved through Chinese funding, including the El Menzah VI sports complex project and several others under development and study as projects of the Diplomatic Academy or that of a hospital in Sfax.

Jhinaoui also underscored Tunisia’s keenness to further diversify cooperation between the two countries at the bilateral and multipartite levels.

For her part, the Chinese diplomat reiterated her country’s commitment to continue to support Tunisia’s efforts in the economic and development fields, praising the support it has received from the Tunisian authorities during her mission.
