Jordan seeks to build economic partnerships with Tunisia, especially in the industrial sector, given the broad opportunities for co-operation,” Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yaroub Qudah said at a meeting with Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Zied Laadhari on Tuesday in Tunis.

The Jordanian Minister, who is currently on a working visit to Tunisia accompanied by a delegation of businessmen, as part of the 9th meeting of the Tunisian-Jordanian Higher Joint Commission (21-22 November 2017), highlighted the success of the Tunisian experience in various industrial sectors, including the automotive components industry.

In turn, Laadhari emphasised the need to work to further develop the relations between Tunisia and Jordan, through the encouragement of the private sector and the establishment of strategic partnerships serving the two countries.

He recalled, in this context, the set of reforms decided by the government in the field of investment incentives.

The volume of Jordanian investments in Tunisia amounted to 137 million dinars (MD) and helped to create 1,450 jobs in important sectors, mainly the pharmaceutical industries.
