President of the Republic Kais Saied, on Sunday morning, visited teacher Sahbi Ben Slama who is receiving treatment at the Military Hospital in Tunis, after being stabbed by a student.
The teacher underwent a surgery.
The President of the Republic spoke with Ben Salama on his health condition, pointing out that the emergence of violence in Tunisian schools is strange to the Tunisian society and unacceptable. The real causes should be investigated, he said.
He also stressed the need for providing full support to teaching staff and educational institutions at all levels, recalling that Tunisia has made social progress in society over the decades.
Sahbi Ben Slama, a teacher in Ibn Rashiq High School in Ezzahra, governorate of Ben Arous, on November 8, suffered a knife attack from a student. He underwent a surgery and his condition is now stable.
