Governor of Kairouan, Mohamed Bourguiba announced, on Wednesday, a new series of measures to fight against the spread of the coronavirus from Wednesday, June 2, 2021 until June 9, 2021.
These measures were taken during a meeting at the governorate’s headquarters with the enlarged regional committee for the fight against disasters.
Among the measures adopted, the banning of chairs and tables in closed catering areas and cafes, the banning of public and private ceremonies and events, the suspension of all cultural activities, and the closing of weekly markets for one week.
In the same context, the governor underlined the strict application of the curfew in force from 10 pm to 5 am, in addition to the tightening of controls relating to the application of the sanitary protocol in the public space.
A mobile laboratory specialised in biological safety was installed, Wednesday, in the governorate of Kairouan to support the efforts of health professionals in the region.
The governorate of Kairouan has experienced since the outbreak of the virus a total of 8,435 cases of infection including 7,650 people recovered and 313 deaths.
