No deaths were reported among COVID-19 patients hospitalised in Kairouan in the wake of power outage Sunday, said local health director Mohamed Rouis.
The official said, on the sidelines of a visit to the military field hospital in Kairouan, the Aghlabid and Ibn Jazar hospitals were hit by the temporary power cut. Electricity was restored.after generators were put into operation.
The cut did not affect oxygen equipment used for patients in hospitals.
