(TAP) – President of the Republic Kais Saied met Friday at the Carthage Palace with the African ministers who took part in the 4th edition of the International Conference on Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA), hosted by Tunisia, from June 24 to 26, 2021.

Saied stressed the need to ensure optimal exploitation of natural and human resources available in Africa, as part of a new development model to help countries to meet their challenges and achieve the aspirations of their people.

He also emphasised the need to identify solutions for the continent’s problems, according to a participatory approach that upholds the principles of unity and solidarity.

The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, the President and the Vice President of the Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC).
