Kebili-Cooperation: Training session in agricultural business creation

A training session in business creation and management, in the sectors of production, processing and agricultural and agri-food distribution, started on Monday at the Centre for Youth and Sports in Kebili.

This four-month training is part of a Tunisian-Italian project on competitive agriculture, financed in the form of an Italian donation of 6 million dinars (2 million euros), for the benefit of 10 governorates. It is a project initiated by the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency, in partnership with the Italian province Imperia (located east of the Alpes-Maritimes).

Thirty young people from Kebili participate in this session, supervised by a dozen experts mostly from the region. The training will focus on production and processing of dates, camel rearing and promotion of geothermal crops.

Young entrepreneurs will have to benefit from financial assistance, facilities in their approaches and support in the process of creation and development of their project.
