Kebili: first startups and young entrepreneurs’ forum for Africa starts in Douz

The first startups and young entrepreneurs’ Forum for Africa kicked off Thursday in Douz, as part of the 4th Festival of African Joy (March 22-24, 2018).

The first day focused on valuing the investment opportunities offered to young entrepreneurs in Kebili, by encouraging them to set up their own business.

Forum president Ammar Ben Rhouma said the event aims to promote development in the region by taking advantage of the African dimension of the festival of African joy.

He added that Tunisia will have to bet on Africa, which has become a big market with a population of more than 1.2 billion inhabitants, underlining that several African countries are now leading the way in terms of entrepreneurship.

The festival has dedicated three competitions to young entrepreneurs with 120 candidates running.

Three prizes will be awarded to the winners, namely the prize for the best project, the best business plan and the best startup.
