KANYITEY: Nana Akua Hemma Kanyitey, the Queen Mother of Kpadjai in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region, has made a public appeal to the government for the construction of the Kpadjai Road, emphasizing its critical role in enhancing the agricultural sector and the overall livelihoods of the local populace. According to Ghana News Agency, Nana Kanyitey highlighted the severe implications of the road's poor condition on agribusiness within the Tahe area during an interview. She pointed out that the degraded road infrastructure severely restricts the transport of farm produce to major urban centers, consequently diminishing the income of local farmers. The Queen Mother stressed that the current state of the road not only affects the economic stability of farmers but also increases the time required to transport goods to market centers, leading to broader logistical challenges. Further elaborating on the importance of the road, Nana Kanyitey argued that its construction is vital for boosting agricultural production and improving the living standards of the community. She underscored the direct correlation between good road infrastructure and agricultural efficiency, urging immediate government action to address these issues.
