La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly Unveils New Clinic at Oyarifa.

La Nkwantanang Madina: The La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly has commissioned an ultra-modern clinic for residents of Oyarifa in the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal area of the Greater Accra Region. The facility will offer a range of services, including outpatient department (OPD) care, maternity deliveries, wellness clinics, and weighing services.

According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Jennifer Dede Adjabeng, the Municipal Chief Executive for La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal, expressed her gratitude to the local chiefs and residents for providing the land for the project at no cost to the assembly. She also thanked Mr. Robert Lamptey, the parliamentary candidate for the area, for his financial support in the project. Madam Adjabeng emphasized the importance of maintaining social amenities and urged the community to take responsibility for the upkeep of the new facility.

She highlighted the commitment of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to delivering quality healthcare services through initiati
ves like the Agenda 111, which aims to build hospitals across the 16 regions, including in their municipality. Addressing the upcoming elections, she encouraged residents to support the current government for continued development, citing significant progress under the current administration.

Dr. Mrs. Priscilla Anima Poku, the La Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Health Director, noted that the new clinic was timely, addressing the needs of Oyarifa residents who previously relied on scattered CHPS Zones. She praised the assembly for its healthcare initiatives, including the Agenda 111, Madina Polyclinic, and other medical facilities, and mentioned the possibility of expanding the clinic into a polyclinic in the future.

Mr. Lamptey, acknowledging the clinic’s importance, encouraged residents, especially those nearby, to help maintain the facility. He also urged women to participate in ongoing health screenings and called on the community to support him and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the elections to facilitate more
development projects in the area.
