The 22-year-old Ghanaian boxer defeated Nicaraguan boxer Alexander Mejia by unanimous decision in last Friday’s featherweight bout at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, USA. The win ensured that Laryea remained undefeated in his 14th professional contest while keeping his prospects of winning the world title alive.
According to Ghana News Agency, Carl Lokko, Laryea’s cornerman, remarked in an interview after the match last Friday that he was impressed with the boxer’s performance that day.
