Bronx: Boxing Club coach, Carl Lokko, is confident about John Abaja Laryea’s world title prospects. The 22-year-old Ghanaian boxer defeated Nicaraguan boxer Alexander Mejia by unanimous decision in last Friday’s featherweight bout at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, USA. The win ensured that Laryea remained undefeated in his 14th professional contest while keeping his prospects of winning the world title alive.

According to Ghana News Agency, Carl Lokko, Laryea’s cornerman, remarked in an interview after the match last Friday that he was impressed with the boxer’s performance that day. Lokko commented on Laryea’s display, expressing satisfaction with his performance against Mejia. He stated that Laryea’s chances of winning a world title appear promising and affirmed his commitment to continue grooming him.
