Launch of first accelerator dedicated to sustainable tourism in Tunisia

The first startup accelerator dedicated to sustainable tourism has been launched in Tunisia. It is an initiative launched under a cooperation agreement between the project “Promotion of Sustainable Tourism” and the network “Carthage Business Angels” and with support from the German agency for international development cooperation “GIZ”.

This accelerator will provide training, personalised mentoring and access to funding to fifteen startups and innovative companies, said GIZ

Through the programme “Grow together”, this initiative aims to support the development of a new generation of actors and projects in the field of sustainable tourism in Tunisia.

The project “Promotion of Sustainable Tourism” is a joint action of the European Union under the programme “Tounes Wijhetouna” and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by GIZ Tunisia, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.

Carthage Business Angels is non-profit organisation. It is the first angel investors network in Tunisia, which deals with the whole Start-up creation and development value chain.

Since its inception in 2010, Carthage Business Angels is supporting and co-implementing several ideation, incubation and acceleration programs and initiatives.
