LemFi Supports International Students in UK with £50,000 Grant

London: LemFi, a London-based financial technology platform, has set an initiative to transform how immigrants in the United Kingdom, North America, and Europe access financial services. The initiative called the LemFi Student Grant will provide financial assistance to students undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate studies within recognised education institutions in the United Kingdom.

According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued in Accra highlighted that hundreds of people move to the United Kingdom annually, seeking advancement in academic qualifications to help them achieve their dreams. For some international students, financial constraints and challenges arise during their studies, posing significant risks to their ability to continue or complete their study programs.

The initiative will begin with a £50,000 fund, which will be available to a maximum of 50 eligible students, divided equally among them. The platform expressed hope to demonstrate its commitment to supporting immigrant communities through this grant.

Mr Toyyib Adelodun, LemFi’s Growth Manager and the Coordinator of the LemFi Grant, stated that education is a proven tool for driving social and economic change, especially in immigrant communities. By supporting their pursuits, LemFi aims to make a valuable investment in the future of the next generation. He further noted that the initiative hopes to address financial challenges students face, enabling them to focus on their studies and unlock their full potential.
