“Leoni Mateur” plans to create new jobs in 2018

The “Leoni” group unit in Mateur will make new recruitments in 2018, in the light of the strategy of expansion of its activity planned from next year, affirmed CEO of the company Mohamed Larbi Rouis.

The company, specialising in the manufacture of automotive cables, plans to create between 1,500 and 2,000 jobs, said the same source, recalling that the company already has 6 thousand employees.

Speaking at a ceremony on the 40th anniversary of the “Leoni Tunisia” group, he said the subsidiary “Leoni Mateur” will open to new markets in the future.

The group had in 2012, threatened to close its Mateur factory because of the multiplication of strikes.

Leoni is established in Tunisia since 1977 and employs more than 16,000 executives and workers in its sections located in Messaadine (Sousse), Mateur (Bizerte) and Ezzahra (Ben Arous).
