The Independent Local Election Authority (French: IRIE) in Gabés received so far 74 candidacies for the December 24 local elections.

Six people with special needs are among these candidates, IRIE President Ali El Bez told TAP.

There are 13 delegations, 73 Imadas and 80 constituencies in the governorate. The number of voters stands at 310,000.
