Lyon plays host to economic forum on new business climate in Tunisia

The French city of Lyon is hosting an economic forum on Wednesday and Thursday, on the theme “Tunisia 2020: a new business climate.”

The forum aims to publicise the main provisions of the new law which will enter into force on April 1, 2017 and to promote public projects presented at the Tunisia 2020 International Investment Conference.

The meeting, organised by CONECT International, in collaboration with the French Confederation of SMEs, is attended by 150 French companies operating in many sectors and a delegation of Tunisian companies.

The aim is to encourage French companies to establish in the Tunisian market, CONECT International said in a statement Wednesday, recalling that France is the first economic partner of Tunisia.

The forum will see the presence of Minister of Development, Investment and International Co-operation, Fadhel AbdelKefi and CONECT President Tarek Cherif.

Workshops and business meetings are scheduled in this forum, in order to encourage building partnerships between Tunisian and French companies, with a view to jointly conquering new markets, particularly in Africa.

Visits will also be organised in the various economic hubs in Lyon, a city home to thousands of companies from different sectors.
