Security units, on Tuesday, arrested a migrant smuggler, who was behind the irregular crossing of sea borders aboard a fishing boat carrying 30 people that sank Monday off Mahdia.
In a statement to TAP, deputy prosecutor and spokesperson for the courts of Monastir and Mahdia, Ferid Ben Jeha said the authorities have arrested one of the main organisers of this attempted irregular migration which caused the death of at least 4 people.
He added that 7 individuals among those who were on the fishing boat were rescued while the search continues for 19 others who went missing.
