Maher Jedidi's membership of the council of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) has been revoked by the President of the Republic, upon the proposal of ISIE President Farouk Bouasker.

The decision has been published in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic (JORT) on July 6, 2023.

In recent months, disputes have arisen between the members of the ISIE and Maher Jedidi, particularly following his dismissal from the position of vice-president of the electoral body.
