Man armed with knife attacks traffic patrol in Bardo, two officers injured

A man armed with a knife attacked on Wednesday morning a traffic patrol in Bardo, injuring two officers. One officer sustained a serious neck injury, while the second suffered a minor head injury.

The attacker was promptly arrested, the Interior Ministry said in a press release. He admitted to embracing the Takfiri thought three years ago and said he thinks assassinating policemen is a form of “Djihad.”

The severely injured officer was rushed to La Rabta hospital; his condition is critical. The other officer was taken to Charles-Nicolle hospital, medical sources said.
