A bank account has been opened at the Manouba Federation of Social Solidarity to receive donations to support the health sector to fight against the coronavirus pandemic, Manouba Governor Mohamed Cheikh Rouhou said.
This initiative of solidarity aims to promote the various means to fight against the coronavirus, which has allowed, thanks to the contribution of companies to collect more than 80 thousand dinars in record time, said the governor.
This collecting made it possible to acquire 15 artificial respirators so far, placed at the disposal of the Regional Directorate of Health, said the same source.
02 respirators were given to the local hospital of Tebourba with the schedule of acquisition of 20 other devices from abroad. There was the planning of 100 to 150 respirators to put them at the disposal of health institutions to meet the needs of patients in oxygen and save their lives, the governor added.
Those who want to make a donation can contact directly the services concerned at the governorate of Manouba noted Mohamed Cheikh Rouhou, or contact the federation of Manouba for social solidarity to hand over their donations against a receipt.
The acquisition of equipment and medical supplies is not enough to cope with this pandemic in the absence of awareness by the citizen, noted the governor. He called on citizens to respect health measures and report threats that could endanger their lives, including parties and gatherings.
A toll-free number will be made available from next week to report violations of decisions and measures taken in the various delegations of the region with the installation of a crisis cell at the headquarters of the governorate to ensure the follow-up of calls from citizens, the governor of Manouba added.
