Marrakech – The Moulay Ali Cherif Al-Mourrakouchi Foundation will organize, on April 3 and 4, an annual conference on the theme “The beginnings of the Alaouite Dynasty in Morocco: history, heritage and development”.
Initiated in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Culture of Marrakech-Safi and the Faculty of Letters under the Cadi Ayyad University (UCA), this meeting, which will be held under the theme “The burden of power and the wisdom of governance”, will be divided into three scientific sessions.
The first will focus on “Morocco and the turn of the 11th century of the Hegira / 17th century, the conjunctures and variables,” while the second and third sessions will tackle respectively “The building of the state and the competence of governance” and “The cultural heritage in the city of Marrakech,” say the organizers in a statement.
This conference will be marked by the participation of an several university professors, researchers and academics who will address the first signs of the establishment of the Alaouite Dynasty and its civilizational extensions, as well as the contribution of its Cherifian Sultans to the shaping of the contours of the Moroccan identity thanks to the addition of their religious and spiritual qualities as well as their political, social and economic serenity.
