Marzouki: “bill on economic reconciliation will never ever be adopted”

“The bill on economic reconciliation will never ever be adopted,” Moncef Marzouki, President of “Tounes Al-Irada” party said at the first elective congress of his party.

“In case this bill passes, I will call the people to a national day of anger,” he threatened at the opening of this congress held from April 29 to May 1, 2017 in Hammamet.

I will call on the Tunisian people to peacefully demonstrate in the streets during a national day of anger, he pointed out.

“The revolution had erupted against corruption and corrupt people, and I will not accept their return,” he said.

“It is obviously tragic to see the authorities in power trying to establish corruption under the guise of democracy,” he said.

The president of the “Tounes Al-Irada” movement also pointed out that “all indicators confirm that Tunisia is heading in the wrong direction, especially in the fields of economy and development.

“The power in place has stripped Tunisia of all the achievements of the revolution,” he deplored.

In this regard, Marzouki argued for the establishment of a socio-solidarity economy, capturing new markets and the establishment of local power.

On another hand, the president of the Tounes Al-Irada Movement said he supports peaceful movements, warning against the consequences of the use of force against protesters.
